Personal & Small Business Tax Preparation — $200 Flat Rate
PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM BELOW AND I WILL CONTACT YOU JUST AS SOON AS I CAN.

I prepare personal and small business income tax returns for a flat $200 fee. This includes the entire return, along with any required state tax returns. My name is Gregg Katz. I’ve been an Olathe resident for 25 years and am an honorably discharged U.S. Marine.

If you’ve seen the Katz head logo shared by The J on Facebook, yes—my family once operated the Katz Drug Company. While that history is well known locally, what matters today is providing reliable, straightforward tax preparation. I have a current and registered PTIN (Preparer's Tax ID Number) with the IRS. Prior year taxes, going back to 2020, can be done at the same price.

Whether you know me personally or not, I work with clients both in person and remotely. I make the process as easy as possible. For clients who live reasonably close to me in Olathe, I’m often able to come to them. About 40% of the returns I prepare are for clients in other states. In those cases, clients email their tax information, we conduct a telephone interview to fill in any gaps, and I then email the completed returns for review and filing. E-filing is also available for those who really want their refunds ASAP.

Here are PDF forms help you get organized to have your taxes prepared. Feel free to download or distribute them:

This service covers:

  • Individuals and families (single or married)

  • 1099 contractors and gig workers

  • Single-member LLCs filing on a personal return

  • Schedule C small businesses

No add-ons. No per-form charges. No surprise fees.

“Mine Is Complicated” That’s one of the most common things people say before we start. Multiple income sources, self-employment, prior-year issues, 1099s, credits—these are normal, not unusual. In all my years of preparing taxes, I’ve never had a return I couldn’t complete, no matter how complicated it first appeared.

Done Right the First Time - Accuracy matters. I’ve never had a client’s return rejected by the IRS, and I’ve never had a filed return later changed by the IRS due to errors. That comes from understanding the rules, not forcing numbers or cutting corners.

Flat Fee. Complete Return. No Guesswork. If you’re tired of unclear pricing or being told your return is “too complicated,” a straightforward, flat-rate approach may be exactly what you’re looking for.
