How does the process work? It begins with a simple phone call. We discuss your situation and I get a basic understanding of the type of return you will need, such as filing as SINGLE or MARRIED, do you have dependents, do we need to file a Schedule C, etc. Once you have decided to have me do your returns, I can either stop by and pick up your documents or have them scanned and emailed to me. At that point, I start building your tax return. Your documents will not tell me everything that I need to know, which is when we have the second phone call. I'll ask you questions to fill in the blanks and that would complete the process. I'll finalize your return, provide you with the results, and then hand them off or email them to you.

The reason I mention using email is because roughly 60% of the tax returns that I do are for people who are not in or around the KC area.
